About SIEMCostCalculator.com

A vendor-neutral SIEM pricing reference. Operated by Digital Signet, founded by Oliver Wakefield-Smith. Built so the budgeting question for Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic, Sumo Logic, LogRhythm and managed-SIEM offerings can be answered without a vendor demo or a sales call.

Why this site exists

Most top-ranking pages on the SIEM pricing question are owned by someone selling something: a vendor funnelling toward a demo, a managed-SIEM provider funnelling toward an MSP retainer, a reseller funnelling toward licensing discount ceremony. Useful figures sit behind a form gate; positioning is optimised for the sale.

The intent here is the opposite. Publish defensible cost ranges per pricing model (per-GB, per-EPS, per-user, flat-rate), show the assumption set, source the figures from public reference material, and let the reader make the decision. There is no email gate on the calculator. There is no chat widget.

About Digital Signet

This site is operated by Digital Signet, an independent AI-development studio founded by Oliver Wakefield-Smith. It is part of a portfolio of consumer cost-reference and calculator sites we run as a live R&D lab for our Signet methodology, an autonomous AI development team that ships real software at scale.

Digital Signet does not sell SIEM software, does not run a managed-SIEM service, and does not act as a SIEM reseller. Where the site carries a sponsor, it is a single, clearly labelled sponsorship strip: disclosed in plain language, with rel=sponsored links, and with no influence on pricing data, editorial content, rankings, or conclusions. Editorial direction is set by Oliver. Drafts are produced via Digital Signet's autonomous AI development methodology and reviewed against the editorial framework before publication.

Editorial principles

  • Built on public reference material. Published vendor pricing pages, public marketplace listings (Azure Marketplace, AWS Marketplace), public analyst reports, and published practitioner write-ups. See methodology for the full source position.
  • Calculator math is documented inline. Inputs (daily log volume, retention, EPS, user count, deployment) and per-vendor pricing model assumptions are visible.
  • Sponsorship never touches the data. Any sponsorship is a single, clearly labelled strip with rel=sponsored links. Sponsors have no influence on pricing data, rankings, or conclusions, and every vendor page stays independent, vendor-verifiable, and free.
  • Update only when the underlying reality changes. Major vendor pricing-model shifts, new entrant pricing disclosures, and material movement in published market rates trigger a refresh.
